A curated shortlist, not a whole market to search
Every evening Cupel measures each stock against the others in its market and narrows thousands of tickers to a short list worth opening. There is far less to search and filter, and the ranking is algorithmic: no one hand-picks names.
None of it is a buy or sell call, and it is not investment advice. It is a way to decide what to read first. Do your own research.
- Management guidance
- For Indian companies, what management said on the earnings call about outlook, demand, margins and orders, compared with the previous call.
- Value
- Earnings, free cash flow, operating profit and book value against the price, plus a discounted-cash-flow check.
- Momentum
- Price trend over six and twelve months, adjusted for volatility, and strength against the market and the stock's own sector.
- Risk
- Volatility, how deep past drawdowns ran, how often the stock trades and how sharp its overnight gaps are.
Business quality and growth are weighed too. Companies are compared with their own market, never across it.
Hear what management said, without the hour-long call
AI reads each earnings call of an Indian company and pulls out what management said about guidance, demand, margins, orders and capacity. Every quote is checked against the transcript, and the reading is one input to how a stock ranks.
- Each call is compared with the company's previous call: improved, held or worsened.
- Raised guidance or stronger demand, margins or orders score higher; lowered guidance or weaker demand or margins score lower.
- The tailwinds and headwinds management names are tracked.

See where each stock is in its cycle
Every stock is placed in Stage 1 to 4 from its daily 50, 150 and 200-day averages, and given a relative strength (RS) rating from 1 to 99: its weighted 3 to 12 month return ranked against the rest of its own market. It is relative strength, not a buy or sell rating. Filter the grid to Stage 2 and the Market page counts them each close.
- Stage 1Basing
- Price drifting sideways under flat averages.
- Stage 2Advancing
- Price above the 50, 150 and 200-day averages, stacked in that order, with the 200-day rising.
- Stage 3Topping
- Price slips under the 150-day average while the long averages still hold up.
- Stage 4Declining
- Price under a falling 200-day average, and the 150-day below it or falling.
- S2 CandidatePullback
- A Stage 2 shape without the full stack, usually a pullback under the 50-day average; price still above the 150 and 200-day.

How it works
- Step 1:
We collect
Exchange filings, SEC EDGAR statements, earnings-call recordings and transcripts, and market prices.
- Step 2:
We process, every day
After each close the whole universe is re-measured. Companies are compared with their own market, never across it.
- Step 3:
You read and filter
Screen, open a stock, read the results and the call, and keep a watchlist. A bell tells you when a company you follow reports.
Sources: NSE and BSE filings, SEC EDGAR, Yahoo Finance prices. Daily measurements update after each close; live prices are indicative and may be delayed.

Built by one person, for people who read filings
Cupel is made and run by Chirayu Shah, an individual operating the service in India. It started as a personal screener for reading results and calls faster, and it stays small on purpose: a few pages, each doing one job well. Mistakes in the data are fixed when reported.
